Mind body and spirit are something we hear all the time. Deepak Chopra always refers to mind body and spirit in his books. After many years of studying psychotherapy, spirituality, natural foods, herbs, homeopathy, hands on healing and more has led to the realization of just how true these words are. In order for a person to heal they need to incorporate all three into their lives. The medical profession has so much to offer a patient in order to help them heal, but we must also take on the responsibility of adding to that by using our mind body and spirit to complete the healing process. Many healing institutions are offering complimentary forms of treatments to their patients, Nutrition counseling, Reiki, psychotherapy, acupuncture, herbs and supplements. The Dali Lama has been part of research projects to determine the affects of meditation on people, testing their brain waves to determine states of relaxation. Louise Hays is famous for her visualization and affirmations in helping people to heal. It is important to open up your mind to new things around you, to investigate the possibility of something that may seem strange or unusual at first. To have or take a leap of faith and see where it takes. I became a Wholistic Health Counselor by doing exactly that. When the norm did not work for me I tried something new. Went back to school, changed my diet, learned how to cook new and unusual foods. Tried hands on psychotherapy, hands on healing, meditation, herbs and supplements. Having spent the last 25 years of my life making changes that have in turn changed me, has allowed me to take control of my body mind and spirit and now am fortunate enough to be able to pass it on to you. Have faith! Take a leap! Try something new for you! |
